She was predeceased by: her husband Richard Belka. She is survived by: her children, Richard Belka, Sue Briante (Mike), Tim Belka (Lilia Garcia), Jean Hamilton (Dan) and Tom Belka (Julie); her grandchildren, Jennifer Gavril (Dave), Rachael Seida (Joe), Marisa Briante (Dave Lash), Michael Briante (Karen Munoz), Alexandra Briante (Erick Carbajal), Sam Briante (Aaron Nova), Abigail Belka, Madeline Belka, Harrison Belka, Shannon Hamilton (Dave McMannus), Danny Hamilton, Stephanie Hamilton, Joe Belka (Jessie), Barbara Belka, Tommy Belka and Audrey Belka; and her great grandchildren, Joseph Gavril, Michael Gavril, Jacob Seida, Everett Seida and Teddy Seida.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Kish Funeral Home (10000 Calumet Ave, Munster, IN 46321). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, June 28th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. James the Less Catholic Church (9640 Kennedy Ave, Highland, IN 46322). A burial will be held on Saturday, June 28th 2025 at the Holy Cross Cemetery (801 Michigan City Rd, Calumet City, IL 60409).
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Joan's memory to Hospice of the Calumet Area.
