He was predeceased by: his sibling Gay Vander Zyden (late Gerard); his siblings-in-law, Norwin Steigenga (late Lois), Lorraine Schuitema (late John) and John Steigenga (Judy); and his parents, Arthur Nederhood and Dena Nederhood.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Lou Nederhood; his daughters, Maria McDevitt (Tom) and Carol Crevier (William); his grandchildren, Teresa, Kim, Melissa (Will), Matt (Lupita), Joel (Katie), Janaya, Alejandra (Daniel), Emmanuella (Immanuel), Andrew, Davison, Dena (Hoya), Joshua (Emma), Caleb (Elizabeth) and Mary Grace; his great grandchildren, Nicholas, Gracie, Allison, Alaina, Rachel, Jaxson, Natalie, Jia and Adela; his siblings, Don Nederhood (late Ruth), Eunice Barthel (late Jerry) and Joy Conklin (Lee); David Nederhood.
Visitation was held on Sunday, December 7th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Bethel Christian Reformed Church (3500 Glenwood Lansing Rd, Lansing, IL 60438). A funeral service was held on Sunday, December 7th 2025 at 2:00 PM and at 3:00 PM.
