She was predeceased by: her parents, Salvador Valdez and Esperanza Valdez; and her brother Jorge Valdez. She is survived by: her children, Daniel Magana Jr. (Yvette Segura) and Thanya L Magana (Phil Farias); her grandchildren, Daniel IV, Dylan, Emma Magana and Xavier Farias; and her siblings, Elisa Duarte, Roberto Valdez and Celina Vasquez.

Visitation was held on Friday, September 25th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Burns Kish Funeral Homes & Cremations - Munster (8415 Calumet Ave, Munster, IN 46321). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the St. John Bosco Church (7113 Columbia Ave, Hammond, IN 46324).
