He was predeceased by: his siblings, Adelle Distel, Delores Burke (Mervyn), Melvin Distel (Genny) and Diane Meyer (John). He is survived by: his wife Nancy Distel (O'Brien); his brother Dale Distel; his children, Debra Peterson (Robert), Sharon Gluth, William Distel (Sabrina) and Edward Distel (Arlene); his grandchildren, Christopher Gluth (Allyson), Alex Peterson, Lauren Peterson, Nicole Distel, Jordan Distel and Eoghan Distel; Zabdy.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to be made to St Jude Children's Research Hospital.
