He is survived by: his wife Laura; his sons, Scott Shinkan (Laura) of Arlington Heights, IL and Michael (Genna Noel) of St. John, IN; his brother George Shinkan (Nadene) of Munster, IN; his grandchildren, Grady and Paddy Shinkan; his siblings-in-law, Christi Kordeck and Jay Craig; and his nieces, Tatiana, Alexandria and Katie.
