He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Bobbye; his daughters, Randi Stricker (Lou), Staci Kaufmann Muller (Bob) and Jamie Friedberg (Jeremy); and his grandchildren, Brett Kaufmann (Molly), Kyle Kaufmann, Eli Stricker, Emma Stricker, Rory Friedberg and Carter Friedberg.
Visitation was held on Monday, August 24th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Congregation Beth Israel (535 Progress Ave, Munster, IN 46321). A funeral service was held on Monday, August 24th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, August 24th 2026 at the Kneseth Israel Cemetery (1648 167th St, Hammond, IN 46324).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Sonny's memory to the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation.
