It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Barbara Burkholder of Nappanee, Indiana, who passed away on June 26, 2025, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel C. Chupp and Amanda Chupp (Borkholder); her sister Elizabeth Miller; her husband Ray J. Burkholder; her siblings, John, Harvey, Jacob, Levi Chupp, Anna Byler, Verna Bontrager and Amanda Chupp; and her half-siblings, Joseph, Emanuel Chupp, Mattie Hershberger, Lydia Ann Chupp and Katie Borkholder.
She is survived by: her daughters, Cathy Lynn Hochstetler (Marvin) of Nappanee and Norma Sue Stutsman (Mike) of Edwardsburg, MI.; her grandchildren, Timothy Ray Hochstetler (Anna), Michael Dean Hochstetler (Jodi), Joel Wayne Hochstetler, Jeffrey Alan Hochstetler (Katrina), Lea Jean Schmucker (Myron) and Emily Kay Borkholder (Nathan); her sisters-in-law, Esther Chupp and Mary Chupp; and her friend Alma Stutzman.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 at 2:00 PM and on Saturday, June 28th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 11:59 PM at the Family Residence (681 1st Rd, Nappanee, IN 46550). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, June 29th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the same location.
