With sadness, we share the passing of David E. Thomas of Nappanee, Indiana. David, born on May 16, 1953, passed away on September 24, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Family, friends, and acquaintances remember David for his warmth, thoughtfulness, and the moments shared together. While he will be deeply missed, the influence he had on the lives around him remains. Loved ones will reflect on the time spent together. David’s memory will live on in the hearts of friends and family, a lasting reminder of the connections and experiences he brought to the world.
He was predeceased by: his parents, David Thomas and Elizabeth Thomas (Sheppard); and his brothers, Bill and Donald Thomas. He is survived by: his children, Marie Hendricks (Matthew) of Plymouth, IN, Lisa Thomas of Elkhart, IN and David Thomas (Yolanda) of Nappanee; and his brothers, Jim Thomas (Lynn) of Illinois, Tim Thomas (Kim) of Ohio and Russell Thomas (Michelle) of Illinois. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home (950 N Main St, Nappanee, IN 46550). A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
