He was predeceased by : his parents, Hershal Ray and Loretta Swank (Bunger); and his siblings, Ray Swank Jr., Marvin Swank, Harry Swank, Kate Baker and Phyllis North.

He is survived by : his wife Nancy Swank (Myers); his daughters, Janell Foote (Mike) and Lynell Olesko (Steve); his grandchildren, Michael Foote, Melody Cherry (Troy), Jonathan Balasa (Molly), Hannah Lange (Mitchell) and Joshua Balasa; and his great grandchildren, Kathleen "Annie" Lange, Luke Balasa and William Balasa.
