He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry H. Helmuth and Lydia Ann Helmuth (Hochstetler); his grandson Earl Dean Helmuth; and his siblings, Leroy Helmuth, Oscar Helmuth, Katie Yoder, Andrew Helmuth, Clara Yoder, John Helmuth, Elmer Helmuth, Victor Helmuth, Martha Helmuth, James Helmuth and Mahlon Helmuth.
He is survived by: his wife Esther Helmuth of Nappanee; his children, Howard Helmuth (Ruth) of Wolcottville, IN, Nancy Borkholder of Garnett, KS, Walter Helmuth (Barbara) of Nappanee, Leanna Borkholder (Richard) of Nappanee, Jonathan Helmuth (Dorothy) of Clinton, OH, Mary Miller (Olen) of Bremen, Levi Helmuth (Loranna) of Milford, IN, Henry Helmuth of Mishawaka, IN and Kristina Yoder (Nathan) of Nappanee; and his sisters-in-law, Inez Helmuth of Goshen, IN, Lavina Helmuth of Nappanee and Mary Helmuth of Piedmont. He is also survived by 53 grandchildren; 51 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 20th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Mark Hochstetler Residence (9918 W 1200 N, Nappanee, IN 46550). A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 21st 2025 at 9:30 AM at the same location.
