He is survived by : his wife Katie Slabaugh of Nappanee; his children, John Dale Slabaugh (Rebecca Fay) of Bremen, IN, Devon Ray Slabaugh (Lou Etta) of Nappanee, Jerry Lee Slabaugh (Elizabeth Jane) of Bremen, Rosellen Hochstetler (Henry) of Bremen, Elnora Yoder (Weldon) of Nappanee, Sharon Kay Hochstetler (Allen L.) of Bourbon, IN, Vernon Jay Slabaugh (Edith) of Nappanee, Norman Slabaugh (Saloma) of Bristol, IN, Vonda Kemp of Bourbon, IN and Becky Helmuth (Jason) of Bremen; his son-in-law Floyd S. Bontrager (Carolyn) of Nappanee; and his siblings, Raymond Slabaugh (Linda) of Nappanee, Lonnie Slabaugh (Verba) of Nappanee, Jerry Slabaugh (Sara) of Bremen, Martha Cesavice of South Bend, IN and Freida Burkholder (Glen) of New Paris, IN.. He is also survived by 67 grandchildren; 127 great grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Thursday, April 25th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Family Residence (30090 Co Rd 56, Nappanee, IN 46550). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 27th 2024 at 9:30 AM at the same location.
