He was predeceased by: his parents, James Francis Neely and Doris Marie Neely; his daughter Ruth Anne Neely; his wife Cynthia Ann Neely; his grandchildren, Tanner, Hudson and Ellie; and his brother-in-law Gary Beecham.
He is survived by: his grandson Tim; his children, Anne Chapman (Caleb), Mike Neely (Amanda), Dan Neely (Melissa), Paul Neely (Poppy), Mary Zimmerman (Gene), John Neely (Michelle), Tom Neely (Megan), Beth Pletcher (Michael), Jim Neely (Reah), Dave Neely (Cassie), Rebecca Menees (Anthony) and Martha Lemler (Seth); and his sisters, Cathy Beecham, Connie Adams (Jon) and Bonnie Edwards (Ed). He is also survived by fifty-nine grandchildren, two great-grandchildren.
