He was predeceased by : his father Harold M. Means; and his siblings, Mark, Scott, Von 'Zeke' and Ray Means.

He is survived by : his girlfriend Leona Baker (Kean) of Nashville; his children, Bernard Means Jr. (Alex) of Tennessee, Amber McCollough (Eric) of Greencastle, John Baker (Amber) of Bloomington, Leah Means (Robert Holland) of Nashville and Jonathan Reimer (Eva) of Columbus; and his sisters, Dawn Britton of Indianapolis, Tonnie Shehan of Bloomington and Catherine Mefford (William) of Nashville. He is also survived by ten grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be sent in honor of Buck to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
