He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Kent McNorman Parks Sr. and Effie Parks (Sanders); his wife Tina Baker; his children, Zachary Parks of Boston, Massachusetts, Ashley Fugate (Matt) of Avon and Kayla Shaw (Kelly) of Speedway; his brothers, Richard Parks (Mary) of Fishers and Paul Parks (Linda) of Clayton; and his grandchildren, Noah Fugate of Avon and Brynleigh Fugate of Avon.

Visitation was held on Friday, July 18th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home (420 S State St, North Vernon, IN 47265). A funeral service was held on Friday, July 18th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, July 18th 2025 at the Vernon Cemetery (315 S Pike St, Vernon, IN 47282).

Memorials may be made through the funeral home in honor of Kent to the Brown County Humane Society.
