He was predeceased by: his parents, William Virgil Adkins and Lena Adkins (Wells). He is survived by: his wife Carol Adkins; his daughters, Jennifer Brissy, Ivy Cambel, Vicki Jolena-Orthaus and Kara Huffman (Kevin); his stepdaughter Anita Burks; and his siblings, Buell Adkins and Beulah Bullock. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
