He is survived by: his wife Janice Carpenter (Smith); his son Dwight Carpenter (Robin); his grandchildren, Christopher Carpenter (Kendal), Michelle Melander (Matthew) and Cameron Carpenter; and his great grandchildren, Alena Melander, Aria Melander and Cole Melander.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 27th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 4:30 PM at the Market Street Chapel of Naville & Seabrook Funeral Homes (1119 E Market St, New Albany, IN 47150). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 27th 2026 at 4:30 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, October 27th 2026 at the Fairview Cemetery (800 6th St, New Albany, IN 47150).
