He was predeceased by: his parents, Suter Popp and Gladys Vest Popp; his son-in-law Shawn O'Brien; and his brothers, Richard Popp and Randy Popp.
He is survived by: his children, Pam Wilson (Bill), Dava Popp O'Brien and Cindy Denham (William); and his wife Mary. He is also survived by his loving children; and his cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 22nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Ln, New Albany, IN 47150). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in David's memory can be made to St. John Paul II Catholic Church or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
