He was predeceased by: his parents, James Grether and Dolores "Gerry" Grether (Jones); and his brother Duane Grether. He is survived by: his wife Laura Heeke Grether (Belles); his son Richard Grether (Autum Hunter); his stepchildren, Carrie Parragin (Dustin), Amy Heeke and Josh Heeke (Alicia); his grandchildren, Mariah, Austin, Cassie, Dylan and Lucas; his siblings, Randy Grether (Tamara), Mark Grether (Diana) and Geri Grether-Cook; his nephew Randy Grether, Jr.; and his siblings-in-law, Grant Belles (Jackie), Gerald Belles and Mona Willis (Josh).
