We are sad to announce that, on December 25, 2025, at the age of 104, Ella Mae (Welman) Helman (New Albany, Indiana), born in Georgetown, Indiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Ella departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Ella. Though Ella may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Welman and Mary Ann Welman (Carl Helman Jr.); her daughter-in-law Bonnie Jaggers; and her siblings, Helen Peck, Charles "Bud" Welman and Doris Jean Welman.
She is survived by: her son Donald V. Jaggers; and her grandchildren, Sheila Vaughn (Tony), Joe Jaggers (Tammy) and Mary Hughley (Jim). She is also survived by 5 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
