She was predeceased by: her parents, Louis Nance and Edith Barker Nance; her husband Robert R. Bohannon; her sisters, Josephine Mattingly and Margaret Atwood; and her stepsons, Robert M. Bohannon and Alan D. Bohannon.

She is survived by: her children, Earl L. Wright, Edith J. Waterbury, Terry L. Wright (Diane), Danny R. Wright, Tracy S. Higdon (Gary), Eltheda M. Smithson (Jeff) and Bobby E. Wright (Michelle); and her pet Maxie. She is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 27th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, October 28th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Kraft Funeral Service (2776 Charlestown Rd, New Albany, IN 47150). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 28th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
