Janet L. Henley Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Janet L. Henley (New Albany, Indiana), born in Greenville, Kentucky, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 13, 2025 at the age of 71. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Mayes and Evelyn Mayes; her granddaughter Toni Echols; her great grandchild Jacob French; and her siblings, Jerry Mayes, Michael Royce Mayes and Carol Mayes.
She is survived by: her husband Michael L. Henley; her children, Sabrina Keesler, Michael E. Henley (Amanda) and Jason Henley (Kelly); her grandchildren, Cameron, Savannah, Natalie Henley and Brandy French; her great grandchildren, Timothy, Lucas, John, Lily, Mikael and Kyle; and her siblings, Brenda Shoptaw, Sandra English (Ralph), James Mayes (Rosemary), Jimmy Mayes and Darrell Mayes (Martha). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 18th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, June 19th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Ln, New Albany, IN 47150). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 19th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, June 19th 2025 at the Walnut Ridge Cemetery (2421 Hamburg Pike, Jeffersonville, IN 47130).
The family requests that contributions in Janet's memory be made to St. Jude.
