He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Mason Beyl, Sr. and Zola Beyl Brocklehurst (Jackson); his wife Agnes Stewart Beyl (Irvine); his stepfather Kelsy Brocklehurst; his siblings, Francis Hines, Ruby Cunningham, Virginia Harris and Billy Beyl; and his grandson Chris Carpenter.

He is survived by: his daughters, Carol Messmer (Jim) and Denise Behr (Gary); his grandchildren, Kevin Messmer (Leslie), Karen Messmer Arthur (Jack), Becky Carpenter Carroll (Chris), Laura Behr Spalding (Patrick) and Sarah Behr Harville (Isaiah); his great grandchildren, Dakota Carroll, Shelby Carroll Lilly, Alexis Arthur, Alexandria Carpenter, Mason Messmer, Carson Messmer, Sydney Messmer, Lillian Spalding, Ezekiel Harville, Elias Harville, Evie Harville, Ezra Harville and Emmaus Harville; and his great great grandchild Calum Carroll.

Expressions of sympathy can be made in the form of donations in Jesse's name to St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Jeffersonville, Indiana.
