With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joann Cook Yost (New Albany, Indiana), born in Mattoon, Illinois, who passed away on May 15, 2022 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her father Lawrence Edwards; her former husband Frank "Bo" Cook; her husband Joseph A. Yost Sr.; her daughter Oleita A. Norton; her sister Emajean Jacobs; her grandson Andrew T. Nicholson; and her daughter-in-law Julie Cook.
She is survived by: her children, Frank E. Cook (Margo), Phillip J. Cook, Debbie J. Hosier (Doug) and Vicki S. Hamilton (Jerry); her stepchildren, Joseph A. Yost Jr. (Doreen) and Denise Gardner (Richard); her son-in-law Orville Norton; and her grandchildren, Noelle Million, Lauren Harrell, Chase Cook, Dulcie Willis, Dayla Hosier, Dirk Hosier, Jacinda Sipes, Jeremy Hamilton, Ashton Davidson, Ethan Cook, Christopher Gardner, Leslie Gardner-Mason, Andrew Gardner and Allyson Gardner. She is also survived by 26 great-grandchildren.
