He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Schindler and Dorothy Schindler (Carpenter); his son Michael Shane Schindler; and his siblings, David Schindler, Alberta Schindler Peay, Henrietta Schindler, Jerome Schindler and Carl Schindler.
He is survived by: his granddaughter Olivia Schindler of Kentucky; his siblings, Joyce Schindler of Indiana, Donnie Schindler (Barb) of Wyoming, Kenny Schindler (Sarah) of Tennessee, Mike Schindler (Nancy) of Indiana and Joe Schindler (Joy) of Indiana; and his close friend Eddie Campbell. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews.
