He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Dowdell and Rachel Dowdell (Watson); his brother Roger Dowdell; and his sister-in-law Helen. He is survived by: his wife Kathryn Dowdell (Taylor); his daughters, Sabrina Noplis (Michael) and Terri Dowdell; his brother Dr. Dick Dowdell (Janice); and his granddaughters, Amber and Mandy. He is also survived by 12 nieces and nephews, 19 great-nieces and -nephews, 5 great-great-nieces.
