He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Clifton James and Kathleen James (Halter); his stepson Nathan Gilbert; his brothers, Butch, Lawrence and Duke James; his children, Chase James (Brittany) and Sabrina Alvey; his stepdaughter Amanda Gilbert; his siblings, Connie Coffey (Doug), Lucille Nichols and Steven James (Carol); and his grandchildren, Thea, Laila, Adelynne, Caleb, Alyssa, Leahonna, Natalia, Savannah and Tayler. He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
