She was predeceased by: her parents, Adrian Taber and Lillian Dever Taber; her husband Charles G. Powell; and her sister Shirley Taber Burnette. She is survived by: her daughters, Karyn L. Owens of Greenville, IN and Leigh A. Caudill (Darin) of Mt. Washington, KY; her grandchildren, Brittany M. Holman (David) of Sellersburg, IN, Ryan T. Owens (Nichole) of Floyds Knobs, IN, Morgan R. Donaldson (Reeder) of Louisville, KY, Zachary C. Caudill (Annie) of Georgetown, KY and Jacob K. Caudill (Mackenzie) of Lexington, KY; and her great grandchildren, Jessilynn, Colton, Jaxon Owens, Cailum, Ellie Holman, Thomas and Barrett Donaldson. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Monday, December 15th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, December 16th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Kraft Funeral Service (708 E Spring St, New Albany, IN 47150). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 16th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
