With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Sonja Nay Wise of New Albany, Indiana, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Sonja Nay left this world on June 23, 2025 at the age of 87, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, Edna Cox Nay and Hubert Verner Nay; her siblings, Donald Robert Nay and Betty Nay Gaffney; her husband Bob; and her close friend Jim Stark.
She is survived by: her children, Kevin Wise (Marsha) of Mason, Ohio and Robin Long (Chuck) of Sellersburg, Indiana; her grandchildren, Justin Wise (Ashley), Lauren Wise, Olivia Wise, Alex Long (Moriah), Sarah Long Lee (Dalton) and Emma Long; and her great grandchild Eleanor Wise. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 3rd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Trinity United Methodist Church (2796 Charlestown Rd, New Albany, IN 47150). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 3rd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Delta Zeta Foundation or the Trinity United Methodist Church, New Albany, Indiana.
