He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert M. Seward I and Mary Ellen Winks-Seward; his son Terry L. Seward II; and his brothers, Robert M. Seward II, Richard Seward and James "Jim" Seward.
He is survived by: his wife Claudia Lynn Seward; his daughters, Kristen Seward and Kara Seward (Jonathan Power); and his brothers, Scott Seward (Gail), John Seward (Debbie) and Bill Schideler (Bonnie).
