With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Barbara Ann Schmidt of New Carlisle, Indiana, who passed away on January 24, 2025 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Lester Gale and Esther Gale (Cawby); her brother Wayne Gale; and her grandson Maxwell Barnaby. She is survived by: her spouse Dean M. Schmidt; her children, Lisa Barnaby (Adam Rogers) of North Liberty and Dean Schmidt (Tracy) of Litchfield; her grandchildren, Michael Wind (Falishia), Marcus Wind (Dawn), Alexandria Hixenbaugh (Alec) and Grace Schmidt; her great grandchildren, Benjamin, Nolan, Sawyer and Skylar; and her brother George Gale of Vero Beach, Florida..
