With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Bernice K. Garrett of New Castle, Indiana, born in Gadsden, Alabama, who passed away on February 7, 2024 at the age of 61. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Claude Allen and Annie Allen. She is survived by: her children, Lateisha Garrett, Lakeisha Lawrence (Ronald) of New Castle, Travis Freeman (Jennifer) of Gadsden, AL, Jermaine Torrence of Gadsden, AL, Daurice Waters of Gadsden, AL, Shatoya Henderson of Birmingham, AL and William Patrick Henderson of Birmingham, AL. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, and one great grandson; four sisters and three brothers; several nieces and nephews.
