She was predeceased by : her parents, Wetson Frost and Ruby Frost (Garrett); and her husband Jack E. Keith. She is survived by : her great grandchild Grayson Jack; her son Kevin D. Keith (Kent Smith); her daughter-in-law Krista Davis-Keith; her granddaughters, Audrey L. Keith and Sarah J. Rhea-Keith (Robert Rhea III); her great grandchild Grayson Jack Keith; her sisters-in-law, Janet McKechnie Robinson, Knoxie Frost (Crabtree) and Evelyn Keith; her aunt Leora Keith; her friend Marietta Hicks; her sons, Barry G. Keith and Kent A. Keith; her brothers, Archie Frost, Jack Frost and Logan "Bud" Frost; and her niece Kim Gibson (Frost). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Jack Keith Memorial Athletic Scholarship which is funded through the Henry County Community Foundation, which Gay was so proud of.

Jack Frost Family wrote a sympathy message

“To all who are there in New Castle. We are so sorry for your loss. You were blessed with a wonderful mother and aunt. She touched many lives at her home, at the school, and at her church. May God bless you at this time.”

“Bunny Hartzler, representing the Jack & Knoxie Frost family, express our sympathy. Aunt Gay was most kind and generous to her family. Her home was always open to nieces and nephews. I remember staying the night on many an occasions. I mainly remember sitting on the porch and just talking. Her care for Mom Frost, stands out in my mind. She visited her everyday, even after she was placed in full-time care and continued to take care of her home.. We will miss her. She is loved forever.”
