He was predeceased by: his parents, Orville Bright and Opal M. Bright (Barrett); his siblings, Juanita L. Hammond, Gerald Bright, Virginia Cox and Wanda Garmon; and his mother-in-law Kirby Vestal (Ina Vestal).
He is survived by: his spouse Shirley Vestal; his children, Penney McLaren (Bruce) of Muncie, Indiana. and Billy D. Bright (Delia) of Jacksonville, Florida.; his grandchildren, Stephanie McCammon (Anthony "Andy"), Matthew D. Roberts of Muncie and David Bright; and his great grandchildren, Stella M. Grubbs and Ian A. Grubbs.
