He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Orlow and Eva Belle Kurz (Butts); his wife Jean L. Kurz; and his former wife Alice Bernice Kurz. He is survived by: his children, Ricci Atchison (Tim) of New Castle, Rick Kurz (Debbie) of Connersville, Julie Kurz of Anderson, Jeff Latham (Nevali) of New Castle and Lisa Garvin (Brad) of New Castle; his grandchildren, Brock Atchison (Jessie), Kaycie Atchison-Gatch (Anthony), Jeremy Kurz, Donald Schneider (Amy), Joe Garvin, Lily Garvin and Ella Garvin; his great grandchildren, Reid Atchison, Persephone, Artemis Gatch, Cameron James (Laura), Courtney, Carter James, Baylee, Kara, Gavin Schneider, Skye Kurz, Samuel Latham and Noah Gaizat; his brother Louis Kurz; his niece Jan VanBoening; and his grandson Nathanial Latham.
