He was predeceased by: his father Frank Owens; his wife Brenda Owens; his daughter Lana Owens Brown; and his siblings, Margaret Paul and Howard Owens.
He is survived by: his children, Mike Owens of Richmond, Chuck Owens (Tanya) of Columbus, Ohio and Katina Dishman (Trent) of Straughn; his grandchildren, Josh Owens (Patty), Jennifer Capps (Danny), Chris Owens (JoAnne), Morgan Brown, Joe Brown, Madison Owens, Jocelyn Gallegos, Kylie Dishman, Vade Dishman and Vance Dishman; his brother Don Owens (Beulah) of Burkesville, Kentucky; and his close friend Patty Neal of New Castle. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
