With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Donald Atkinson of New Castle, Indiana, born in Muncie, Indiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 18, 2024 at the age of 95. He was predeceased by: his parents, William Jackson and Edna Elsie Atkinson (York); his siblings, Lee Atkinson, Delano Atkinson and Gail Perdue; and his great grandchild Gracie Evans.

He is survived by: his wife Stella Atkinson; his children, Belva Tungate (Lenny) and Jeff Atkinson (Cyndee); and his grandchildren, Jonathan Evans (Trina), Russell Atkinson (Whitney), Janalee Lyons (Dewayne), Jennifer Michael (Justin) and Laycee Tungate. He is also survived by 9 great grandchildren.
