It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donald Penning of New Castle, Indiana, born in Oakland, California, who passed away on March 9, 2024, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Malvina R. Hidalgo and Charles J. Penning Jr.; his brother Charles J. Penning; and his grandparents, Charles W. Penning and Theresa B. Penning.

He is survived by : his wife Doreen Penning of New Castle; his children, Darlene Terhaar (Danny) of New Castle, Donna Penning of New Castle and Donald Penning (Liza) of Tracy, California; his grandchildren, Ashley Robinson (Wesley), Christopher Chesher (Brittany), Robbie Ortiz, Jordan Penning and Amanda Rea (Marshall); and his great grandchildren, Kenna, Adisyn, Tailyn, Carson, Brystal and Benjamin.
