She was predeceased by: her parents, Jacob "Jake" Kersten and Christina Kersten (Hendricks); her husband Garland Johnson; and her brother Rev. Myron Kersten. She is survived by: her brother Leonard Kersten of Crowley, LA; her children, Mark Johnson of Yukon, Margaret Clark (Dan) of Bourbonnais and Annette Goggin (Mark) of New Lisbon, Indiana; her grandchildren, Abby Johnson, Sarah Clark Burke (Kevin), Andrew Clark (Rachel), Kate Clark Pardew (Devin), Laura Clark, Christina Goggin Howard (Jason) and Augustus "Gus" Goggin (Stephanie); her great grandchildren, Lucia, Samuel, Peter Burke, Ellis Howard and Paisley; and her grandchildren, Michael and Skylar Goggin. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
