He was predeceased by: his parents, James Hershall and Mary Vella Dalton (Stockton); his siblings, Jean Phillips and Jimmy Dalton; his parents-in-law, Obie and Nannie McCutchen; and his sister-in-law Geneva Ruth West.
He is survived by: his wife Phyllis L. Dalton; his sons, Harrison "Fred" Dalton of Spiceland and Robert Dalton of Greenfield; his granddaughters, Joni and Evie Dalton; his brother Horace Dalton (Hilda); his pet Oreo; and his caregivers, Nikki, Beth, Rhonda, Mandy and Billy.
