With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Linda Phelps of New Castle, Indiana, who passed away on April 15, 2024 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, William South and Vonnie South (Hurst); and her siblings, Mildred Cox (Jim), Christina Neel (George), Doris Barr (Gary) and Wayne South.

She is survived by : her husband Stanton Ray Phelps; her sons, Brian Ray Phelps of Shelbyville and Nathan Edwards Phelps of Greenwood; her grandchildren, Noah Lee Phelps and Ryder Elliot Phelps; her brother Clyde South of Knightstown; and her sister-in-law Sue South of Connersville. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service (3406 S Memorial Dr, New Castle, IN 47362). A memorial service was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.

Memorial contributions may be given to the Christian Appalachian Project.
