Ruth Ilene Hurst Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Ruth Ilene Hurst (New Castle, Indiana), born in Muncie, Indiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 20, 2025 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Reverend Lindsay Floyd Flowers and Reverend Lovie Mae Flowers; her brother Floyd F. Flowers; and the fathers of children, Blaine and Blake.
She is survived by: her sons, Blaine Hurst (Becky) of Fernandina Beach, FL and Blake Hurst of New Castle; her grandson David Hurst of Fernandina Beach, FL; her sister Bobbie Jackson of Indianapolis, IN; and her sibling's children, Bryan Carter of Indianapolis and Jennifer Springer (Matthew) of Gainesville, GA. She is also survived by three great nephews.
Ruth requested that memorial contributions be given to Foursquare Gospel Church, 3200 S. 14th St., New Castle, IN, 47362.
