He is survived by: his mother Gearline Abney (Thompson); his children, Joshua Abney and Jessica Napier (Abney); his siblings, Martha Schaeffer (Roger), Richard Abney (Rebecca "Becky") and Mark Abney (Tera); and his grandchildren, Robert, Stephen, Skylar, Jessie, Mary and Noah. He is also survived by numerous other relatives and many friends.
