Though Vesta may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Vesta touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Logan and Rose Marcum (Barnes); and her husband Charles Eugene Redick. She is survived by: her sibling's children, Chester A Rains Jr. (Charlotte), Kay Walcott (Jim), Beth Ann Fox (Darrell), Glen Marcum (Debby), Pam Upchurch (Ron) and Gary Marcum (Jenny); and her caregivers, Charlotte Rains, Jenny Cronk, Darlene Runyon and Leah Hinneman. She is also survived by many many great nieces and nephews, special friends and caretakers.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, October 6th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the South Mound Cemetery - West Lawn (505 Bundy Ave, New Castle, IN 47362).
