He was predeceased by: his father William Walter; his former wife Bona Jean Atterson; his son Alan Walter Atterson; his brothers, Bill and Jim Atterson; his uncle Harvey; and his aunt Hattie Fox.
He is survived by: his wife Jennifer Atterson of New Castle; his children, Dee Ann Atterson of New Castle and Brian; his grandsons, Corey of New Castle, Ethan of New Castle, Luke Atterson of New Castle and Evan; his great grandchildren, Alex R. Smith and Jon Henry Maynard; and his brother Harvey Atterson of Beverly Hills, Florida. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and close friends.
