He was predeceased by : his son Daniel Ray Stewart; and his sister Judy Schutz. He is survived by : his children, Michelle Stewart (Tim Buskirk) of Mt. Vernon, Joe E. Stewart (Bailey) of Mt. Vernon and Brooke E. Wells (Scott) of Poseyville, Indiana; his mother Jo Stewart of New Harmony, Indiana; his sister June Rister of New Harmony; his close friend Tammy Anderson of New Harmony, Indiana; his brother-in-law Randy Schutz; and his grandchildren, Wesley Sollman, Sidney Sollman, Bryant Stewart, Maddux Stewart and Scotland Wells.
