It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Helen Smith of New Harmony, Indiana, born in Watson, Illinois, who passed away on March 20, 2024, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Russell White and Mable White (Loy); her husband Leroy; and her daughter Penny Sue Doughtery. She is survived by : her children, Candy Tolliver (Robert), Mike Smith (Carol), Tom Smith (Lisa) and Mark Smith (Kris). She is also survived by sixteen grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, April 27th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Holy Angels Community Center (419 Steam Mill St, New Harmony, IN 47631).

If you wish to make a memorial contribution, Helen loved and supported multiple organizations, Working Men's Institute, Boy Scout Troop 86, New Harmony Ministries Alliance Food Pantry or the Posey County Fair Association.
