It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Thelma Barnes of New Harmony, Indiana, who passed away on June 7, 2025, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Barrett and Mattie Barrett (Hartley); her husband Roy Barnes; her daughter Elizabeth Ann Wiscaver; and her siblings, William J. Barrett, Harry Barrett, Gloreatta Mitchell and Mary Thigpen.
She is survived by: her children, Dale Wiscaver (Kim), Tim Wiscaver (Pam), Carl Wiscaver, Ricky Wiscaver (Brenda), Joseph Smith, Jacqueline Combs and MaLinda Smith; her brother Bernard Barrett (Bethany Stires); and her pet Royyoki. She is also survived by several grandchildren, great, and great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
