Vera Johnson Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Vera Johnson (New Harmony, Indiana), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 31, 2026 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Larkin Almon and Mary Almon (Crawford); her husband Charles S. Johnson (Choppy); her in-laws, Alvin and Geraldine Johnson; her brother Donn; her siblings-in-law, Sandra Almon, Bill and Kay Johnson; her cousin Dorothy Schisler Urey; and her close friends, Pauline Kuebler, Wilda Omer and Sue Wassmer.
She is survived by: her children, Jim Johnson (Beverly) of Dallas, Rick Johnson (Debra) and Judy Alsop (Jim) of New Harmony, Indiana.; and her grandchildren, Lesa Trela (Casey), Mary Schmitt (Jonathan), Amy Spilman (Ryan), Lori Weinzapfel (Brent), Erica Kissinger (Wes), Cort Alsop (Katie), Timothy Kahle (Laura), Alisha Noffsker (Jason) and Adam Morgan (Jessica). She is also survived by great grandchildren.
