He was predeceased by: his parents, Worley Gilbert and Vivian Gilbert; his sisters, Carolyn Copley, Janice Saylor and Linda Gilbert; his grandson Zachary Gilbert; and his daughter Kendra Gilbert.
He is survived by: his stepsons, BJ Gilbert Jr. (Shannon) of Fort Wayne, Nick Gilbert (Tiffany) of Fort Wayne, Eilene Stayer (Jamie) of Fort Wayne, Breana Mason (Cameron) of New Haven and Austin Tschantz of Fort Wayne.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 20th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, June 21st 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Christ Church (3131 Maplecrest Rd, Fort Wayne, IN 46815). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 21st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
