Daniel N. Trabel Obituary
We bid farewell to Daniel N. Trabel of New Haven, Indiana, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on May 7, 2025 at the age of 74. Daniel touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Trabel and Evelyn Trabel (Rorick); his wife Margaret Trabel; his brothers, Marvin Trabel and Paul Trabel; and his siblings-in-law, Virgil Merkel and Jane Purvis.
He is survived by: his sons, Nick Trabel (Amy) and Phil Trabel (Mary); his siblings, Carol Merkel, Janice Bruce, Eugene Trabel (Barbara), Joyce Trabel, Barbara Trabel, Ila Beck (James), Roberta Doust (Thomas), Diana Trabel, Richard Trabel (Tina), Robert Trabel (Debra), Gregory Trabel (Angie) and Mary Lynne Franke; his grandchildren, Ava, Vivien, Morgan and Izzy; and his siblings-in-law, Marlene Trabel, Mary A. Trabel, Mary Jo Purvis and Paul Purvis (Sue). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A rosary will be held on Tuesday, May 13th 2025 from 3:30 PM to 4:00 PM at the Divine Mercy Funeral Home - Fort Wayne (3500 Lake Ave, Fort Wayne, IN 46805). Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 13th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, May 14th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, May 14th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:15 AM at the St John the Baptist Catholic Church (943 Powers St, New Haven, IN 46774).
